Zero to Hero: A superhero is no hero at all if they never help anyone. We all want to be heroes and not zeros. Kids many times have no clue how to make this transition. Using VERY candid personal stories, hilarious current cultural references, and solid proven strategies, Mike takes kids on a journey from zero to hero. Mike explores the pros and cons of this new reality in which young people live. Also, we examine why digital “immigrants” struggle to understand it. 45 minutes
Do You Bring the Backpack?: You’ve been there. Your son/daughter forgets something at home and you’re unsure whether bringing it to them at school is helpful or enabling them to be irresponsible. In this session, we’ll take a very interactive and honest look at the way we parent. Drawing on years in the classroom and 12 years as a dad himself, Mike shares candid situations he’s been faced with and shows how different families and teachers handle them. Walk away with a clear grasp on how to help children be resilient to bullying. Parenting/Teaching in a way where they RESPECT and LOVE you in return is possible! 45 minutes
